Start of the academic year celebration – is an excellent chance for everyone to meet with everybody after the summer, share summer memories and start planning for the academic year ahead! Let’s meet, let’s be together!
Programme of the event
2 September
10 a.m. The celebration of the start of the academic year in the square in front of the main entrance to Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution (Aušros av. 40).
Meetings at faculties
11 a.m. Faculty of Business and Technologies, Aušros av. 40, Main Hall, 3rd floor
11:30 a.m. Faculty of Health Care, M. K. Čiurliono st. 16A, Main Hall, 2nd floor
Introduction and familiarisation week. ŠVK Introduction Week for the first-year students from 2 to 6 September is a great opportunity to meet new people and check out new spaces. These are the new experiences that will help you ease into the new phase of your life at the higher education institution! The week will be full of activities, and we will wrap up the week's events at the Freshman Camp!
Freshman Camp. On September 5, Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution is organising the Freshman Camp! Event time: from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participation in the Camp is free.

In September, Šiauliai residents and visitors will once again be invited to the city's biggest event, Šiauliai Days 788.
The city's celebration is expected to take place on September 6-7, under the resounding slogan "Šiauliai shines". The organisers hope that the numerous events will enrich the cultural leisure time of Šiauliai residents and visitors, and will provide spectacular moments. One of the highlights of the city's celebration is the festive procession and motorcade.
