Student Valeriia tells about „Erasmus+“ internship: be open for new challenges and experiences
As an international business student, participating in the Erasmus+ internship program in Budapest, Hungary was an incredible opportunity for me to gain valuable experience in a foreign setting. During my time at a local restaurant, I was able to achieve my goals of improving my language skills, expanding my knowledge of international business practices, and gaining a deeper understanding of Hungarian culture.
The location of my internship was a major highlight of my experience. Budapest is a beautiful city with a rich history and diverse culture. I was able to explore the city during my free time and visit many of its famous landmarks such as the Hungarian Parliament Building and Buda Castle. The food in Budapest is also incredible, and working at a local restaurant allowed me to try many traditional Hungarian dishes.
Although it may be difficult to pause your regular routine, the rewards of taking part in an Erasmus+ internship are substantial. I had the opportunity to apply my theoretical learning to practical scenarios, which aided me in honing my skills and acquiring new knowledge in a real-world environment. Furthermore, the chance to live and work in a foreign country gave me an unparalleled outlook on business and culture that I would have missed out on otherwise.
My advice to future students considering an Erasmus+ internship in Budapest would be to embrace the experience fully. Be open to new challenges and experiences, and take advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things, whether it's trying a new food or practicing your language skills with locals. And most importantly, enjoy the experience and make the most of every moment.
Overall, my Erasmus+ internship in Budapest was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to achieve my goals, explore a new culture, and gain valuable skills for my future career. I would highly recommend the program to any international business student looking to gain practical experience in a foreign setting.
