Student representation has a new president
An extraordinary conference of the Student Representation was held in the conference hall of the Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences. During the meeting, a new Student Representation President was elected, the work done during the year was reviewed, and future plans were discussed.
Skaistė Kairytė, a former president, presented the works done and transferred her responsibilities to Viktorija Valaitytė, a student of the Construction Study Programme.
Viktorija Valaitytė was elected as the President of the Student Representation unanimously. Prior to applying for this position, Viktorija was an active student, participating in various events, workshops and other initiatives at the UAS. The new President expressed intent to actively cooperate with UAS alumni and to develop a long-term strategy of activities.
During the extraordinary conference, election of the chairpersons of the faculties also took place.
Laura Jankovskytė, student of Physiotherapy study programme, will continue to be the Chair of the Student Representation of the Faculty of Health Care.
The Student Representation of the Faculty of Business and Technologies is entrusted to Lineta Būdvytytė, a second year student of the Organisation Communication and Marketing.
