An extraordinary meeting of the Academic Council of Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences took place on March 30th.
The Academic Council of Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences met face-to-face on March 30th in an extraordinary meeting. Several issues important for the higher education institution were discussed.
Director dr. Lina Tamutienė presented results of the UAS activity, aspects of strengthening the network of Universities of Applied Sciences and the expected changes in the evaluation of studies and research activities.
The members of the Academic Council actively discussed which activities would be the most effective, taking into account the higher education institution's aspiration to strengthen the links between studies and research activities, overcome various challenges and meet the needs of the labor market.
Deputy Director dr. Nedas Jurgaitis presented the editorial amendments to the documents regulating the attestation of lecturers and researchers at UAS, and the Academic Council unanimously approved them. The amended composition of the Teachers Attestation and Admission Commission was also approved at the meeting.
