Pie Day Event
Pie Day will bring together our staff and students on 6 November, from 12:00 to 14:00.
The event will take place in two locations:
– the Erasmus+ leisure area in the Central Building (Aušros al. 40, 4th floor);
– the foyer of the Faculty of Health Care, near the main entrance (M. K. Čiurlionio g. 16A).
Pie Day is not only an opportunity to enjoy homemade cakes and spend some time together, but also to support a meaningful cause. This year, we are joining forces with Jaunimo linija (Youth Line), and all donations collected during the event will support emotional assistance for young people.
Jaunimo linija provides emotional support by phone and online 24/7. Every year, the organisation receives more than 50,000 requests for support, but currently it is able to answer only around three out of four. Every donation helps them be there for more young people when they need someone to talk to and listen to them.
There are two easy ways to join our Pie Day:
– Bake or buy a cake or another favourite treat and bring it to one of the event locations before the event starts. Those who bring a homemade cake are also invited to share the recipe – handwritten, printed or in any other convenient format.
– Come and join us, enjoy cakes made or brought by our staff and students, and make a donation to Jaunimo linija. Posters with a QR code and donation numbers will be available at both locations.
