NEW ERASMUS CHARTER GRANTED TO ŠIAULIAI STATE COLLEGE

In May 2020 the International Relations and Project Management Department of Šiauliai State College submitted an application to the European Commission for an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education for the period 2021–2027. On December 22, 2020, The European Commission informed that the application was evaluated with the highest score! Such recognition undoubtedly opens up new activities and opportunities.

The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) ensures the quality of the execution of Erasmus+ activities in research and study institutions. The higher education institution undertakes to comply with all the requirements of the Erasmus+ program and the principles of European cooperation.

ECHE is essential to organise student and staff mobilities, Erasmus+ strategic partnership projects or other Erasmus+ multilateral projects.

In 2021 a new phase of the Erasmus+ program is underway, with the European Commission allocating more than €26 billion. In the coming period, the program will offer even more opportunities for Erasmus+ participants. It will be more accessible to everyone, it will offer more flexible ways to participate, involving people with fewer opportunities.

From 2014 to 2020, the Erasmus+ exchange program was significant for Šiauliai State College: cooperation was carried out with 171 foreign organizations in 35 countries; more than 600 students/graduates of the College gained international part-time study and internship experience; College lecturers / administrative staff participated in 266 Erasmus+ mobilities. At this stage of the program, the College accepted 320 students; 349 lecturers / administrative staff from foreign higher education institutions shared their experience with the community of Šiauliai State College.
