NEOLAiA Work Package 10 Meeting in Šiauliai: Promoting Sustainability and Dissemination
On March 5 and 6 2025, the NEOLAiA Alliance Work Package 10 (Sustainability and Dissemination) meeting took place at Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences in Lithuania. The meeting brought together representatives from the partner universities to refine communication strategies, increase visibility and strengthen collaboration with target groups.
Increased Dissemination and Engagement
The main focus of the meeting was on the dissemination of the NEOLAiA Alliance and the project results. Discussions centred on content creation, communication flow between work packages and ensuring strong representation of the Alliance at partner universities. A key agenda item was the development of an engagement strategy to increase the reach of NEOLAiA and attract more students, researchers and stakeholders to the initiatives.
Participants exchanged ideas on how to optimize social media content to make NEOLAiA platforms more attractive and interactive. Strategies for highlighting success stories, showcasing academic collaborations and strengthening community engagement were discussed. By strengthening these efforts, NEOLAiA aims to build a dynamic and engaging network between its member institutions.
A Mix of Work and Cultural Experience
In addition to the intensive working sessions, the meeting also offered participants a taste of Lithuanian culture. The participants enjoyed traditional Lithuanian cuisine and had the opportunity to visit the famous Rūta chocolate factory. There they took part in a chocolate education session and learned about the rich history of Lithuanian chocolate making.
A visit to the Hill of Crosses, one of the most famous spiritual sites in Lithuania, added a contemplative and cultural dimension to the experience. This unique landmark with thousands of crosses symbolising faith, hope and resilience has left a lasting impression on the NEOLAiA team.
Moving Forward
The lessons learnt from the Work Package 10 meeting will contribute to a more coherent and effective dissemination strategy for NEOLAiA. By utilising innovative communication tools and increasing engagement, the Alliance will continue to build a vibrant and connected academic community across Europe.
With a renewed commitment to sustainability and outreach, NEOLAiA will strengthen its presence and influence and ensure that its initiatives reach and inspire a wider audience.
