05-07-2024

On 25 June, 2024 the School of Engineering of Polytechnic Institute of Porto held the 20th European Erasmus+ Coordinators‘ Association (EAEC) Congress and Exhibition – ERACON 2024.

Dr. Rasa Pocevičienė, the Head of Studies and Science Coordination Unit, represented the NEOLAiA European Universities Alliance with her presentation „European University Alliances – New Opportunities and Challenges: Case Study“. She presented not only the main directions and principles of the Alliance‘s activities, but also identified the opportunities for the whole academic community – students, lecturers, administrators and even for social partners - by participating in such alliances. The organisational issues, the administration and coordination of the alliance activities, the issues of equal partnership, etc. were also of great interest to the audience.

The Congress was attended not only by Erasmus+ coordinators, traineeship/internship supervisors, researchers and professionals interested in Erasmus+, but also by business representatives and mobility and internationalisation policy makers.
The Congress featured presentations, seminars, university meetings, a fair and a wide range of activities, providing excellent opportunities to showcase your HEIs and meet others, share experiences and work together to find solutions to the challenges ahead.

The Congress focused on various Erasmus+ innovations, such as Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), increasing mobility opportunities by creating mobility windows in study programmes, providing additional funding, microcredits, improving the study process in order to maximise European values and the implementation of the key principles of higher education policy, as well as student-oriented studies, European University Alliances, etc.
