Director of Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija Re-elected for a New Term

On June 17, 2026, the Council of Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija elected the Institution’s director the next five-year period. By the decision of the Council, Dr. Lina Tamutienė, who currently serves as the Institution’s director, was re-elected to lead Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija for another five years. 

While presenting her 2026-2031 programme, Dr. Lina Tamutienė emphasized that the coming years will represent a period of both continuity and purposeful transformation for the Institution. She highlighted her commitment to strengthening Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija as a modern institution of higher education in applied sciences and an important center of expertise, innovation, and applied research in Northern Lithuania, contributing to the regional competitiveness, social well-being, and the development of innovation.

Follow her election, Dr. Lina Tamutienė expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her: 

“I would like to thank the Institution’s Council for the trust they have shown in me and for the opportunity to continue the work I have begun. I would also like sincerely thank the entire Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija community for their professionalism, dedication, and the progress we have achieved together. Over the past few years, we have accomplished many significant achievements by strengthening the quality of education, developing partnerships, and increasing the Institution’s visibility. I am confident that, through our joint efforts, we will continue to create new opportunities for students, staff, and the region, strengthening the position of Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija in the higher education landscape and contributing to the region’s progress.”

The new director's term will begin on August 3, 2026, and will run for five years.
