Cultural and Academic Connections: Armen Ktoyan's Journey at Šiaulių Valstybinė Kolegija
From October 21st to 25th, Šiaulių Valstybinė Kolegija welcomed a distinguished guest, professor Armen Ktoyan from Armenia. During his teaching mobility visit, Mr. Ktoyan embraced the opportunity to share knowledge, engage in meaningful discussions, and immerse himself in the academic and cultural environment of the HEI and the city of Šiauliai.
After the visit, professor Armen Ktoyan shared his experience.
“With great interest, I accepted the invitation to participate in the teaching mobility program at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija. Initially, I tried to plan my visit, to understand in advance what I will do, what impressions I will get, what new knowledge and skills I will acquire and transfer.
I am happy to report that the reality was much better than I had planned and expected. During my visit, I met wonderful people who received me with pleasure and great willingness, I had the opportunity to conduct interesting lectures with college students. It was also important to hold discussions with the college staff members, during which we exchanged ideas about the educational systems of our countries, the current state of development of our institutes, features, advantages and challenges.
Those discussions were also important for me because I tried to understand what solutions we can try to take and apply to improve educational processes in our university. Another important result was the registration of mutual interests in conducting joint research and publishing articles with some of the college staff. I think that in the near future there will be concrete results here as well.
I can't help but mention that Lithuania and in particular the city of Šiauliai was a pleasant discovery for me. During the days I spent here, I enriched my imagination about this wonderful country and the people living here. Lithuania is an important and instructive example for me in terms of organizing and ensuring people's well-being and dignified life in a country with a small area and population. I am sure that Lithuania is a wonderful example for Armenia, there are many things to apply and imitate here.

Finally, I would like to express my special thanks to the staff of the International Relations Department of Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija, under the leadership of Augustina Norkutė, who did everything to make my visit effective, interesting and fulfilling. I will be happy to see you all in Armenia.
Thank you Lithuania, Thank you Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija. I already have a great desire to visit you again.”
