A Blended Intensive Programme was implemented at our institution
In October–November, Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution organised a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “Information and Communication Management in Local Business in the Digital Era.”
18 students from Spain, Latvia, Poland, and Portugal, as well as 8 students from our institution participated in the programme.
The lectures and workshops were conducted by experienced professors and practitioners, such as Associate Professor Dr Rasa Pocevičienė, Laima Milkintaitė, Dr Agnieszka Jakubczyk-Latała, Dr Milena Carvalho, Dr Rainer Rubira García, Dr Daniel Martínez Ávila, Dr Josefa Gallego Lorenzo, and Dr Andres Fernandez Ramos.
The BIP lectures were held remotely from October 14 to 30, while the on-site activities took place at our institution from November 4 to 8.
During the sessions at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution, students not only attended lectures but also worked on team assignments. They applied innovative solutions in information management and communication, utilising methods and tools of the digital era and presented group projects.
Throughout the BIP week, students and lecturers were invited to participate in various cultural activities. They tasted traditional Lithuanian dishes, baked bread at the Žaliūkių miller's homestead, and visited the Hill of Crosses, where they were guided by our institution's distance learning coordinator, Rasa Škimelienė. The week’s activities concluded with a pizza gathering, and participants received certificates for participation.
We are pleased that the participants of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) had the opportunity to broaden their horizons, learn about other cultures, interact with representatives from different countries, gain new knowledge, and establish new contacts.
