24-05-2023

On May 15-19th, Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija hosted the 7th international week of "Erasmus+ Networking"!

The goal of the 7th week was to make new connections and establish new contacts for further cooperation. Almost 40 participants from Albania, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Spain, Malta, Cyprus, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey and Hungary participated in the week.

On the first day of the international week, director Dr Lina Tamutienė wished the guests the best experiences, new acquaintances and a productive week. "Erasmus+" mentors introduced Lithuania and taught the guests to pronounce Lithuanian words; coordinators of the International Relations Office introduced the institution and its activities. Later, the participants played an orientation game to familiarize themselves with Šiauliai City.

On Monday afternoon, the participants had the opportunity to meet with the lecturers of the Department of Transport Engineering, visit the study bases and meet with the coordinators of the International Relations Office.

On the second day of the International Week, the participants had a trip to the Hill of Crosses. And the third day was dedicated to meetings in departments. All participants chatted with representatives of each department, viewed the study bases, discussed further cooperation, etc.

We ended the day with cultural presentations. Representatives of each country and university brought a part of their culture: sweets, drinks, souvenirs, and some even dressed in national clothes. The institution's community was also invited to the cultural presentation event, so the guests from abroad interacted with our community.

On the fourth day, the guests participated in two teamwork workshops. The first workshop was led by the head of the Study and Science Coordination Service, dr. Rasa Pocevičienė. During the workshop, the participants used LEGO blocks to create a cozy environment for Erasmus+ students who come to study at foreign higher education institutions. The second workshop was led by Prof. Rainer Rubira Garcia from Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain). During the workshop, the participants discussed in groups which countries they would like to cooperate with and how it would be useful for their own higher education institutions. After the activities, the participants enjoyed pizzas!

On the last day of the international week, the participants paddled on the Dragon boat in Lake Talkša!

Thanks to Šiauliai sports centre "Atžalynas", IRKLO SESĖS and coach Tadas for a great time!

Thank you everyone for participating in the International Week!
