Short studies – a cycle of higher education studies for the acquisition of a professional qualification according to the fifth level of the Lithuanian Qualifications Framework. The new programme is aimed at persons seeking to start a professional career faster, it ensures the continuity of studies in the first cycle study programmes in the Informatics Sciences study fields group at ŠVK or other higher education institutions in the country.
Upon achieving the intended learning outcomes, a diploma is issued that grants the right to engage in professional activities and/or to continue studies at a higher education institution. The diploma corresponds to Vth level qualification for performance of complex tasks and their combinations in different areas of activities.
Studies at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija can be combined with work – both in full-time and part-time mode. Individual needs are accommodated on a case-by-case basis

Objectives of a study programme and intended learning outcomes
Objective of a study programme – to prepare a qualified specialist capable of supervising, installing and administering computer systems and networks, ensuring information security, documentation of changes, providing technical and methodological assistance to users of computer systems, capable to study independently, work individually or in a team in order to achieve personal and professional development.
